Pre-Historic Cave Paintings

Another interesting place to visit in Anda are the cave paintings found in Lamanok Point in Barangay Badiang.

 

The paintings are pre-historic and are identified as red hematite painting which uses stones as tools and animal blood for color.

 

The rock painting are evidence of civilization during the Paleolithic or Stone Age era in Bohol. The cave where the paintings are found is inaccessible by public transportation, one has to get there by foot or by boat.

 

In the site, visitors will also see huge fruit bats circling the cliffs, indigenous orchids and many species of tropical plant can be spotted on the way to the cave.
