Pulang Pasayan in Pandaraonan, Nueva Valencia, Guimaras is also known as Tiniguiban Islet in the maritime charts is home to the rare species of scarlet-colored shrimps.

 

Locals believe that the scarlet-colored shrimps found in the island are enchanted and refrained from consuming the brightly colored crustaceans. Fisher folks would warn visitors from pointing the shrimps to spare them from being harmed by enchanted beings.

 

Together with the island's sweet mangoes and pristine beaches, Pulang Pasayan's mysterious red shrimps has been a must-see attraction to local and foreign tourists.
