Saint Augustine Cathedral

The Saint Augustine Cathedral, also known as San Agustin, is the seat of the Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro

The original church, built in 1845, was destroyed during an American bombardment in 1945. The wooden cross standing on the church's entrance was the only part of the church that survived up to this day.

An American missionary was responsible for the reconstruction of the church and based it heavily on Gothic architechture.
