The People's Park - Davao del Sur Attractions

The People's Park

People's Park is a recent attraction in Davao. It was once a wide space of barren land called PTA Grounds and has recently been developed by the city government into a tourist attraction. Statues made by Mindanaon artist Kublai Millan can be found all over People's Park. The park has benches and an open lawn where groups usually gather to relax and chat. Cultural shows are also held regularly in the park's colorful walkways.

Security cameras are installed in strategic areas to ensure the safety of visitors and to monitor possible abuses inside. The park's security personnel are well known to be strict in implementing the park's rules. Among the prohibitions inside the park are alcoholic drinks, loud music, and sexual obscenity. Stores are not allowed to operate inside but small stalls are available right outside the park.

How to get to The People's Park
